WECK AM 1230 will expand its lineup of live, local programming in early 2009, owner Culver Communications announced today.

Beginning on Monday, March 2, 2009, talented talk host Brad Riter will debut a new show from 4 to 7p.m. weekdays, replacing the syndicated Bill O'Reilly Show. The new “Brad Riter Show” will be highly interactive, featuring listener call-ins, on-line elements, and conversations with newsmakers from local politics, culture, entertainment and more.

Also, on Monday, January 26, 2009, “Reason with Scott Leffler” will expand from one hour to two hours. The show, which currently airs between 10:00 and 11:00 a.m. weekdays, will add a second hour from 9:00 am to 10:00 am. “Reason” presents a unique take on the politics and people of Western New York, with plenty of humor from Scott's unique perspective.

Culver Communications Operations Manager Tom Schuh said, “We'll miss Bill O'Reilly on the radio. But we're extremely excited that his departure opens up the opportunity for us to present more live, local two-way talk. Brad and Scott have both earned the opportunity for shows in more prominent dayparts. We're glad to reward them, and our listeners, with another step in our development as Western New York's true hometown station.”
So, I get another hour a day on WECK and Brad moves his show up a little bit. I know I'm a little biased, but both good moves IMHO. Plus Brad will open up his topics a little bit, adding more news/talk to his show. Love it.

Whaddya think?
