Huh?
I saw this on the news tonight and just shook my head.
From the Buffalo News:
From the Buffalo News:
The superintendent of the Media School District in Orleans County was arrested today on charges that he falsely claimed to have been a state trooper on his resume, State Police announced.
Apparently, Richard M. Galante had claimed he was a state trooper from 1981 to 1998, but never was. He was charged with one count of first-degree offering a false instrument for filing, a low-level felony.
This reminds me of a story a few years back in which a woman in Lockport was arrested and charged with the same thing: "offering a false instrument for filing." Her crime? She reported to police that she had been harassed by police ... and they said she wasn't. So they arrested her.
1984 anyone?
