What's up? Ain't nothin ...
Not too much to say this evening.
I had what I considered to be a shitty day at work. It started good with a staff meeting about the July 4th celebration (WLVL sponsored it last year and are going to again this year - boss just wants ducks in a row) and then went downhill from there with a Historical Society Dialog, a late lunch and more work to do than I wanted to. Had a disagreement with the boss and although I'm sure he's pleased with how it ended, I'm not, so I'm in one of those pissed-off, f***-it-all moods where I'm thinking it'd be better to just deliver pizzas full time ... even though the rational part of me knows that's not really the case.
Spoke with Joyce Miles this afternoon about Winterfest. I hope I didn't say anything too stupid ... but I probably did. :) Joyce is good people. I'm glad she's back in Lockport. She was trapped out in Medina for a while. Come to think of it, so was Tim Marren. Tim's going to be a guest on the show coming up some time soon along with a reporter-to-be-named-later.
Actually, I think there's a bunch of good guests coming up on both Dialog and the Interview. Check the Calendar for more information.
On The Forum, Jim Sacco says he has to quit MySpace cause 20 and 30 year-old girls keep asking to meet him. What the shit? There's no girls asking to meet me. I must be doing something wrong. :)
I think it rocks that Newfane C.A.R.E.S. is suing the school district over Mills' life insurance policy. I'm sick of government entities believing that they can do whatever the f*** they want just cause they have a team of lawyers.
Similarly, I think Wal-Mart should sue the hell out of Amherst. That "now you see it - now you don't" zoning shit is pure B.S. No matter whether you like Wal-Mart or not, that's a crock. (imagine Ruthie).
I'm looking forward to tomorrow's show on stupid things politicians say, starting with Hillary Clinton and Ray Nagin's comments from MLK day (Hillary said the GOP runs government like a plantation and Nagin said he's looking forward to a "chocolate New Orleans ... like God intended." What fools. My only fear is that the right-wingers will just want to bash Hillary for an hour, refusing to believe that their people say stupid shit, too.
Okay, now that I've sworn a lot, here's the good news. I Gazelled again tonight: 1.54 Miles - 16 minutes - 187 calories. That puts me over 4 miles for the day. Good progression. I'm going to aim for 4 miles again tomorrow. I don't want to overdue it yet.
That's all for now. Talk to y'all later.
