Thoughts (Friday 012006)
I started writing this this morning, but I got distracted by something shiny.
I thought today's show went well. I'm sure I'll take flak from city officials who think I'm just being mean to them. Boo hoo. I just don't get how they can fine someone who wasn't there for a crime. Just cause they don't want to do the leg work. Others disagree. I've already gotten a couple emails on the topic.
Today's interview was interesting. The guy stands no chance and I'm not sure if he can really influence the race. I mean, if it were going to be close, he might, but that's just not the case. I wish him well. I think Hillary's pro-war stance is sad. I mean, it's not going to get her the respect of the GOP and most Democrats (and Libertarians) opose the war. So what's she gaining with her stance. I don't get it.
After The Interview, I had an interview with Lyndon LaRouche. I'll play part of it Monday during Dialog and use it as a springboard to talk about the Alito nomination. Should be fun. The rest will be exclusive to the podcast.
The Interview slot is full for the next couple weeks. If that trend continues, we might have more podcast exclusive stuff.
If you're keeping track, you might notice that I didn't Gazelle yesterday afternnoon. Instead I met some folks from Newfane C.A.R.E.S. out for drinks to talk about their planned lawsuit. They're having a meeting Tuesday at Scruples at 7 p.m. (it's wing night, by the way). If I can make it, I plan to. I support them and hope the school district folds. Might does not make right and these people need to learn that.
Anyway, so I have to Gazelle 5.3 miles today to make up for it (and that doesn't make up for the three beers I drank or the bag of chips I ate (I didn't really eat the whole bag)).
So far, here's what I've done:
Morning session: 2.3 miles - 29 minutes - 278.4 calories
Lunchtime session: 2 miles - 22 minutes - 242.5 calories
So I still have a mile to do. I'll have to do it after dinner. *sigh* And we're having company over tonight. Very much looking forward to it. You'll hear all about it tomorrow, I'm sure.
Later.
