Report: DeLay agreed to let comatose father die. Says case was "entirely different" than Schiavo's.

Schiavo case batters judge. Another interesting perspective on this battle. Did you know the judge who keeps ruling for the husband is described as a "conservative Christian?" Neither did I. There are other good tid-bits in here, too.

Court: Fla. Must Warn of Dangers at Beach. Since the crazy Schiavo thing is wrapping up, (and since people are STUPID) Florida courts need something else to waste their time with, apparently.

Congressional Republicans Target 'Activist' Judiciary. Their definition of "activist" is ... "they follow the law."
St. Petersburg Times
Business: Coffee with steam. Starbucks is apparently upsetting some conservatives cause their coffee cups have liberal quotes on them. They want equal coffee time. Maybe they should start up their own coffee shop - like liberals did in the radio business. Or maybe conservatives just don't "get" coffee ... like they said liberals didn't "get" talk radio. Aw. Poor conservatives. Pity party anyone?

Local cops say state came for Schiavo. Nice to know Governor Jeb believes in the rule of law. Why the hell hasn't this been publicized more? We find out about it two days later?

Lawmakers aim for on-time budget. And I aim to hit the lottery. Which is more likely?

Dialog Podcast Page
scottleffler.libsyn.com There's a bunch of new stuff on the Podcast page. Basically, I get 250 megabytes a month and I had some space to burn, so I found some of my favorite clips and uploaded them - plus two additional show (Worst of Dialog Volume 1 - November, 2003) and (Best interviews of 2004 - 12/31/2004). I'll likely add the Worst of Dialog volumes 2, 3 and 4 in the next couple days. Any requests? Particular shows you want me to get online? Particular interviews? Let me know. I'll try to make it happen.

House Panel Seeks to Keep Schiavo Alive. Nice to see the federal government intefering with states' rights ... as usual. If only there were something that says the feds should leave states alone, then everything would be right with the world. :)

eBay for the Working World. Could you imagine if your boss put a notice in the help wanted section looking for someone to do your job for less ... and you had to low ball the competition? All the sudden, you're doing the same job for $3 less an hour? A site in Germany does just that. This is "free market economy" to it's fullest. In fact ... it's almost "slave market economy." Talk about taking advantage of the less fortunate.

Senate OKs Alaska wildlife refuge drilling. I've never fully understood this issue ... and I'm not going to pretend to now ... but I know it's a big deal, so I thought I'd add it to the blog. Here ya go.

DeLay Blames Partisanship for Uproar. Never mind the fact that he keeps breaking House rules and can't quite change them fast enough to stay ahead.

Free State Project
So this is pretty interesting. A group of people want to find 20,000 like-minded individuals to move to New Hampshire and change the state's politics ... I'm going to try to contact someone from this group and get them on the show. I found out about this group, by the way, cause they sponsor a show I frequently listen to called "Free Talk Live," which is a blend of politics and culture - sounds like a bunch of college student after a few beers. And by that, I mean it's entertaining. :)

Today's guest is a gentleman named Robert Bowie Johnson. He says that greek mythology corroborates Christian beliefs. We'll take a unique look at religion.

Public reaction mixed on NF City Court Judge Bob Restaino's decision to jail an entire court cause no one would say who's cell phone was ringing.
Meanwhile over at the Union-Sun & Journal, there's a poll on the issue. What do YOU think? Feel free to comment here ... or in the Dialog Forum.

County claims pharmaceuticals overcharged for Medicaid. This is what happens when you let businesses write the laws that are supposed to govern them. This, folks, is why you can't trust the Republican party to "protect" you. They'll sell you out every chance they get ... cause the Rx companies can give them more money than you can.

Delphi to stop paying for retirees' medical insurance. So if the area's richest company can't afford to pay for it's retirees health care, how can the general population be expected to pay for public workers health care when they retire?

Enver Masud | Founder, The Wisdom Fund
Here is the bio of Thursday's guest. And here is an article that he posted to his website just yesterday. It basically says a plane never hit the pentagon. That's our topic Wednesday. Finally, here's the video that has come up on Dialog before ... and that I'll no doubt bring up during Thursday's show.
